The large 50mm objective lenses are able to capture more light and when used in combination with the 10x magnification, it produces an ample 5mm exit pupil. This along with their anti-reflection coatings ensures that at this level, these are a reliable performer in low light conditions such as you often encounter in thick forests, at dawn, dusk or even on an overcast day.
These characteristics, as well as a number of others, make this model ideal for uses like mid to long range hunting and bird watching. The 10x50 configuration in addition to the Porro prism shape is also a popular choice for binocular astronomy.
Whilst this Celestron Upclose binocular can easily be used from the hands, the fact that they are tripod adaptable also helps with uses like astronomy in that you can achieve a completely stable image and it makes it easier to share a particular view with friends.
Sufficient for most users, the 12mm of eye relief will probably be a little short for those who want to use their binoculars whilst wearing their glasses and still be able to view the full image.
Extremely affordable Celestron UpClose series offers binoculars for a different use, among which are also two zoom models with adjustable magnifications for finest details without the need to move to another location. You can choose between the smallest binoculars on the market with 8x21 configuration and large 20x50 configuration for nighttime observations. The zoom binoculars allow you to make power adjustments – changing magnification without the need to change the position. The Porro prism system of bigger fully sized models draws in more light and allows you to gather enough brightness even in the low-light conditions which are extremely convenient for astronomy observations. BK7 prisms and multi-coated system also help to enhance brightness, contrast, and colors without major distortions and reflections. They are equipped with central focusing mechanism and left-eye diopter to make proper adjustments. Foldable eyecups have a 12mm eye-relief so it’s suggested to try them on if you are eyeglass wearer.
UpClose binoculars come in a case for storage and protection with a binocular strap. They are also equipped with objective lens covers and eyecups covers to protect the lenses, however, they’re only included in bigger models, not in smaller roof prism models.

Celestron gives Limited Lifetime Warranty for UpClose Binoculars. The company repairs or replaces damaged products, without charge. However, it doesn’t include No Fault Policy – doesn’t cover damages due to mishandling, misuse, neglect or accidental damage. Product exteriors - armoring and lenses are fully covered for 5 years against defects, not scratches or blemishes. Accessories such as lens covers, neckstraps and cases are fully covered for 2 years. Loss of the product or accessories is not covered. Collimation and optical alignment issues must be claimed within 30 days of purchase. You can claim the warranty with receipt as a proof of purchase.
