Like large windows in your house, the 56 mm objective lenses are able to capture more light than smaller ones and the exceedingly large 7 mm exit pupil makes certain that your eyes are supplied with more than enough light, even in extremely low light situations.

The downside to this is that these binoculars are larger and heavier than the smaller models within the Vixen New Foresta series.
