Kowa BD II XD 8x42 is a part of the so-called wide-angle XD lens series. The model was introduced in 2019, but it hit the market in 2020. Kowa BD II is dressed in a green-coloured rubber that is wrapped around magnesium housing thus they feel reliable and able to withstand harsh conditions. Optical Properties

Kowa BD II are binoculars that feature Schmidt Pechan roof prisms, along with Kowa’s KR coating that protects the binoculars from foreign residue on the lenses. The 8x42 model provides the user with sharp images with vivid and full-of-contrast colours. The field of view is 143 m / 1000 m, and the close focus distance is 1.8 m, which means the user can observe faraway objects, as well as those that are positioned closer.
