Not as good as I expected By

I’ve been using a porro bin all along and decided to get a roof prism. Got myself the M7 8x42. What was glaringly visible that wasn’t there on my porro was CA. The color fringing was very obvious and covered almost 50% of view. Only the area around the center of FOV was clear of it. Not sure it this normal or do I have a defective unit.
