Introduction of the Swarovski Z8i series

Swarovski released the Z8i series in response to Zeiss's V8 series, which introduced 8x zoom. The Z8i 2-16x50 rifle scope is one of the most popular models for its 50mm objective lens. A zoom ratio of 8x is now the new norm in the premium segment of hunting optics.

The Z8i series from Swarovski provides an improvement upon the Z6i with higher claimed light transmission, an 8x zoom factor and a wider field of view.

Physical Properties of Swarovski Z8i 2-16x50

The Z8i 2-16x50 is a powerful riflescope with 16x magnification and adjustable parallax. It can also be used for close target acquisition and is waterproof, shockproof, and fog-proof. It is 356 millimeters long and only 650 grams in weight.

The Z8i 2-16x50 scopes have illuminated reticles located in the second focal plane, which is very thin at high magnification. They are available with four different reticle options: 4A-300-I, 4A-I, 4W-I, and BRX-I.

The Swarovski Z8i 2-16x50 has an illumination system that is similar to the Z6i series, with preset, plus, and minus buttons for fine adjustments. The illumination also has an auto turn-off function activated by canting or directing the scope downwards/upwards. It can be adjusted to any level of brightness from very dim for low light use to extremely bright for daytime.

The Z8i 2-16x50 has an intricate elevation turret with good tracking, and the ballistic turrets are easy to install as a separate accessory that can move the point of impact 1 centimeter with each click at 100 meters away. It has the unique feature of having the same ballistic turrets on either the top or side turret.
