A good budget Zeiss. For the price point, excels in sharpness and resolution. By

Prior to my purchasing of the Steiner Ranger Xtreme, I frequently borrowed these from a buddy while working on the field. For the price, these were quite sharp and resolving and bright optics. The field was relatively flat. But one major drawback was the Chromatic Aberration (CA) especially trying to read the stainless steel tags or fittings on utility/industrial applications. The resolution is great but the CA makes it relatively tiring to use for prolonged periods of time in bright high contrast conditions, best kept to ~5-10min intervals when using in extremely high contrast bright locations, followed by ~1-2 minutes rest.

The binoculars we relatively light and the covers were acceptable and had the normal Zeiss object cover retention design. Worked reasonably well with gloved operations and with glasses. These resolved better than most binoculars around this price point.

Highly recommended for those who focus on a good sharp and resolving binoculars and the Zeiss’ badge of excellence (slightly cooler image/tone relative to Swaro, Leica, or Steiner)

This affordable pair of binoculars are great for first timers. The design is by Zeiss, however its made in China which helps with the affordability.

It is a good product if you want to get into the Zeiss brand, however, you do notice the difference between this set and the Victory SF!
